What People Say, What They do, and What We THINK We're Doing and Saying

Over the years I've discovered that some people that appear to be "nice" actually dislike you, and may even feel profound enmity and jealousy towards you.

And some people that aren't especially nice (or don't appear to pay any attention to you at all) actually don't really hate you all that much. They just don't want you to know why it is that they feel the way that they do about you. Quite often, they may not even like to admit how they really feel to themselves.

Still others are only nice when they want something. Unfortunately, all these types of people are mostly just interested in what others can either do for them, or how others make them feel about themselves.

So, no matter what image people project about themselves, there's what people say, what people do, and what people THINK they're doing and saying. IF... that is, they even think about what they're doing and saying at all. And in my experience, not all that many people really do know what they really, honestly are doing and saying on a pretty regular basis.
